Here you will find an excerpt from the Mahabharata, one of India's greatest ancient literatures. It is a tale of heroism, honor, loyalty, courage and faith. A triumph of good over evil. This epic conflict actually took place five thousand years ago, at a place known as Kurukshetra in northern India. The tale of The Warrior Monks is not directly based on this great war, yet it derives much inspiration from the main characters and their noble qualities. These chapters from the Mahabharata are certainly the most exciting, describing the entire Kurukshetra war. The story mainly follows Arjuna and Krishna. The speaking of the Bhagavad Gita, the well-known spiritual literature, by Krsna to Arjuna, took place at the beginning of this war. Click
